The Board of Directors serves as the strategic leadership and governing body of The Brave Little Bears Foundation. Board members should be deeply passionate about improving the lives of children with developmental disabilities.

Ideal board members are enthusiastic advocates for the families we serve, bringing personal or professional experience in fields such as therapeutic services, behavioral health, healthcare, special education, nonprofit leadership, fundraising, finance, or law.

Board members are expected to contribute their time, talents, and resources; participate fully in board meetings and initiatives; and collaborate openly and respectfully with fellow members. A spirit of teamwork and shared purpose is essential, as we work together to expand access to life-changing therapies and resources for children who need them most.

Board Members serve a three-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for one additional term. Board meetings are held at monthly or quarterly intervals, depending on foundation needs. Board members are expected to participate in at least one committee.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Brave Little Bears Foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to families with children who have developmental disabilities, enabling them to access private therapies, specialized activities, and mainstream recreational programs that are otherwise out of reach.
