Recreational Access Grants
Making inclusion possible in mainstream activities.

Inclusive play and participation in mainstream community programs can significantly enhance a child’s quality of life and provide benefits for both neurodiverse and neurotypical children—but children with developmental disabilities often require extra supports to fully participate. Our Recreational Access Grants provide the tools needed to make these experiences accessible and successful for everyone involved.
Examples of support these grants can provide:
A 1:1 aide or support person
Tailoring of uniforms or clothing for medical or mobility needs
Custom or adaptive sports equipment
Visual supports (e.g., picture schedules or diagrams)
Inclusion training for coaches, staff, or volunteers
These grants help reduce the burden on families and promote true inclusion in community spaces.
