Jim McCabe
SVP, Finance Transformation, AdaptHealth
Jim brings over two decades of experience in leadership roles across finance, accounting, operations, and strategic transformation. After beginning his career in public accounting, he transitioned to a boutique consulting firm in the Philadelphia area, where he served as a Principal in the business advisory consulting practice. Most recently, Jim joined AdaptHealth as Senior Vice President of Finance Transformation. He was drawn to AdaptHealth not only for its scope and impact, but because its mission — “We empower patients to live their best lives by providing comprehensive products, services, and supplies” — closely aligns with his own personal mission: to help children with disabilities reach their fullest potential.
For the past seven years, Jim has also served as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the McMasters Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting charitable causes, most notably those that connect injured and disabled veterans with highly trained and accredited service dogs. These dogs are provided at no cost to the veterans and offer a lifetime of companionship and support.
Jim and his wife, Christi, are proud parents of two children. Their younger daughter, Kayleigh, was born in early 2021 and spent the first 17 days of her life in the NICU at Bryn Mawr Hospital. In the years that followed, Kayleigh experienced developmental delays, challenges with speech and swallowing, and numerous medical appointments, therapy sessions, and evaluations. Genetic testing ultimately revealed that Kayleigh has a rare deletion in her ZNF292 gene — a condition identified in only about 30 children worldwide — and she was also diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which is common in children with this genetic condition.
With the support of doctors, therapists, teachers, and other families, Kayleigh has made remarkable progress. Jim and Christi also understand that not all children have access to the same resources and have personally experienced the uncertainty of how best to support a child with complex needs — from budgeting for specialized services to planning for long-term care.
These experiences are why Jim is proud to be part of The Brave Little Bears Foundation. He is deeply passionate about helping families access the care, tools, and support they need to help their children thrive and reach their greatest potential.
