Kyle Everett
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer, The Brave Little Bears Foundation
I’m the proud mom of Cam and Jay — the original two “brave little bears” who inspired this foundation — and Quinn, their energetic little sister who rounds out our family alongside my co-founder and husband, Kyle.
I work full-time in professional development at Ballard Spahr, where I’ve been for more than ten years. I find it incredibly rewarding to support lawyers in their efforts toward continued growth and professional success. I’m also deeply grateful for the firm’s support in taking on The Brave Little Bears Foundation as a pro bono client, helping us navigate the process of obtaining our 501(c)(3) status.
Ever since the boys began their journeys with developmental disabilities, I’ve felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude that we’ve had access to therapies and activities that have helped them thrive. I know all too well, though, that not every family has the same opportunity. The maze of complex systems, confusing information, financial strain, and emotional exhaustion can feel like too much — and often does.
What keeps me moving forward is the community of other parents and families walking a similar path, whose encouragement and wisdom have carried us through our hardest days. My hope for The Brave Little Bears Foundation is simple: to give back even a fraction of that love and support by helping families overcome some of the financial barriers to getting the therapies, tools, and experiences their children deserve.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, catching up with friends, and squeezing in a round of golf in the warmer months.
This foundation was born from our family’s journey, but it belongs to every family who’s ever had to fight a little harder for their child — and to every brave little bear out there.
