Rose Lovejoy
Clinical Coordinator, Associates Home Care
I am a dedicated Care Coordinator providing In-Home and Community Support services to adults within the Office of Developmental Disabilities. My professional career has been deeply rooted in service and advocacy, with a strong focus on supporting individuals and families in the developmental disability community.
My connection to this community is both personal and professional. I’m a proud mother of two children with behavioral, physical, and cognitive disabilities, and I have several family members with a range of cognitive and physical challenges. These lived experiences have instilled in me a lifelong commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.
I was drawn to The Brave Little Bears Foundation because of its mission to uplift children with developmental disabilities and their families through education, emotional support, and assistance in accessing essential services. I believe strongly in the power of advocacy and storytelling to drive meaningful change, and I’m honored to contribute my voice and expertise to this important work.
When my oldest son was born with significant medical complexities, including the need for a ventilator to support his breathing, my life shifted dramatically. I made the difficult decision to step away from my career to become his full-time caregiver, as his needs required continuous care, specialized support, and medical coordination.
During that time, my family received critical support from organizations that helped us adjust to our new reality—ranging from emotional encouragement to essential resources such as home modifications that made our space safe and accessible for my son’s medical equipment. That experience gave me firsthand insight into the importance of compassionate, community-driven support. It continues to fuel my passion for ensuring that no family walks this journey alone.
