Rose Lovejoy
Clinical Coordinator, Associates Home Care
Rose is a dedicated Care Coordinator providing In-Home and Community Support services to adults within the Office of Developmental Disabilities. Her professional career has been deeply rooted in service and advocacy, with a strong focus on supporting individuals and families in the developmental disability community.
Rose’s connection to this community is both personal and professional. She is a proud mother of two children with behavioral, physical, and cognitive disabilities and has several family members with a range of cognitive and physical challenges. These lived experiences have instilled in her a lifelong commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment.
Rose was drawn to The Brave Little Bears Foundation because of its mission to uplift children with developmental disabilities and their families through education, emotional support, and assistance in accessing essential services. She believes strongly in the power of advocacy and storytelling to drive meaningful change and is honored to contribute her voice and expertise to this important work.
When Rose’s oldest son was born with significant medical complexities, including the need for a ventilator to support his breathing, her life shifted dramatically. She made the difficult decision to step away from her career to become his full-time caregiver, as his needs required continuous care, specialized support, and medical coordination.
During that time, Rose and her family received critical support from organizations that helped them adjust to their new reality — ranging from emotional encouragement to essential resources such as home modifications that made their space safe and accessible for her son’s medical equipment. That experience gave Rose firsthand insight into the importance of compassionate, community-driven support and continues to fuel her passion for ensuring that no family walks this journey alone.
